1. Course
(a) Enrolment on Courses and Order confirmation
(i) Completing an application form to enrol upon a course with The School of Sacred Alchemy is deemed to be an offer to purchase and invest in such course. The School of Sacred Alchemy may accept or decline your offer. We will inform you if your offer to purchase has been declined or accepted by both e-mail and formal written notification.
(ii) You confirm that you do not have a criminal record. If you do have a criminal record and wish to attend one of our courses, please contact us directly.
(iii) You confirm that you have not been diagnosed with nor do you have a reason to suspect that you may currently have severe depression/ clinical depression and / or any other psychological illness.
(iv) Following the completion of your booking, we will send to you a booking acknowledgement email detailing the course that you are booked on and for some courses will include some further information that is required from you so that your course tutor can learn more about you prior to the course commencement. You agree to return this at least a week prior to the course commencement date.
(v) Acceptance of your booking and the completion of the formation of a contract between you and The School of Sacred Alchemy will take place when you are issued the full written course booking confirmation unless The School of Sacred Alchemy have notified you that we do not accept your application or you have cancelled your application prior to such confirmation.
(vi) By completing and sending this form, you confirm that you have read the prospectus in full.
(vii) If you have advisability that requires additional support, for example, if you have permanent, or temporary, disability, medical condition or specific learning need, we will make reasonable adjustment to accommodate your needs, insofar as it is possible and appropriate to do so. Please inform your tutor of this prior to course commencement to discuss the best methods of support to meet your needs.
(viii) Students must be able to provide evidence of attending at least 90% of the designated classroom hours to be eligible for all of our awards and subsequent accreditation (not applicable to one day seminars unless a CPD certificate of attendance is required). If a student miss more than 10%, they must make arrangements with the college to attend at another date, if possible, or provide alternative evidence of achieving the learning outcomes at the discretion of the college.
(ix) Students conduct on the course must be considerate to your fellow students at all times. Any behaviour or conduct deemed inappropriate or upsetting to a fellow student can result in you being asked to leave the classroom and/or course. You are asked to react respectfully to feedback from other students and/or tutors, taking it as ‘advice’ that can be taken or left. Also that you respect the thoughts, opinions and ideas of other students and tutors if they differ from your own.
We reserve the right to dismiss anyone from the classroom and/or course at any time for reasons including but not limited to inappropriate behaviour, disruption of class impairing the quality of learning of other students, previously undisclosed or new criminal convictions, non-payment of fees, routine non-participation in practical exercises, or routine non-punctuality.
We request that you engage fully in practical and class work so that we can ensure you are applying the skills correctly and appropriately. Of course you reserve the right to withdraw during a particular pratical for personal reasons. You need not disclose anything you do not wish to in practicals and you may act/role play rather than workon real issues.
(x) You agree to complete all required home study to the best of your abilities and in the timescale given. For courses that require the submission of coursework for qualification; at the end of the final day of tuition, you have up to six months to submit your completed homework and/or case studies, after that time you will be required to have a verbal assessment/professional discussion with a course tutor or attend refresher sessions on another course to demonstrate your skills are still of the expected standard. This time may be extended under exceptional circumstances.
Sharing experiences and ideas with other students is fine but when it comes to writing up, it must be your own work, evidenced through personal research, thoughts, insights and ideas. We take plagiarism very seriously, including from the course manual notes or directly from websites.
(b)Course Cancellation
(i) If due to unforeseen circumstances any delegate needs to cancel an enrolment, up to one month before the course / seminar / workshop commences a refund of 66% of the paid course fee will be made by The School of Sacred Alchemy (less any non-refundable deposit). Discounted courses are not refundable. Unfortunately, for any cancellations made within a month of the start date or after the start date of the course, no refunds are available.
(ii) If for any reason or due to unforeseen circumstances the programme you enrol upon has to be cancelled, The School of Sacred Alchemy will refund your payment in full. The School of Sacred Alchemy and/or its directors will not be liable for any other expenses.
(c) Conduct of Courses
(i) The School of Sacred Alchemy reserves the right to substitute the advertised trainers and include additional trainers and special guest trainers at any time.
(ii) The School of Sacred Alchemy reserves its right from time to time to vary in its absolute discretion the course content and the material covered to that advertised, whilst ensuring that such content and materials will correspond with the overall requirements as advertised.
(iii) The School of Sacred Alchemy reserves the right to deny, at their absolute discretion, without any prior notification and any reason being given, access to any individual or group of individuals, for the welfare of participants and organisers, and for the purpose of ensuring that the course runs smoothly, safely and in a manner which reflects the nature of the training, for all or part of the course and/or registration.
(iv) If the need to deny access arises you agree that full payment will be retained by The School of Sacred Alchemy
(v) Qualification (where applicable) is awarded upon successful completion of the course. This means all given assignments completed and satisfactory standards met in written, practical and oral assessment. A minimum of 90% class attendance is required for qualification - where unavoidable absence occurs, hours and/or study must be made up to tutors satisfaction.
(vi) Complaints procedure: We invite regular feedback on all aspects of our training. We aim to be approachable and responsive. Complaints should be made to the course tutor(s) in the first instance. if the problem remains unresolved you may access our accrediting bodies’ complaints procedures.
(vii)Code of Ethics: Students training with The School of Sacred Alchemy are expected to adhere to the code of ethics as laid out by the General Hypnotherapy Register as appearing on their website.
(d) You Agree that you will not share any of the course materials with anyone who is not a student or graduate of The Sacred Alchemy Practitioner training You will not breach the copyright of the course materials you receive during your studies with the School of Sacred Alchemy
You will not use any of the course materials to teach or train others to be hypnosis professionals without written prior consent from The School oSacred Alchemy
(e) You State that you are able to and will submit your written work in any of the following formats: MS Word (97 or later edition), Pages for Apple, or PDF files.
2. General
(a) This agreement is subject to English law and jurisdiction.
(b) These Terms and Conditions represent the complete agreement between you and The School of Sacred Alchemy and regulate your participation in The School of Sacred Alchemy courses and workshops
(c) Please note that the headings used in these Terms and Conditions relating to each clause/element / section are used purely for ease and they do not have any contractual or legal effect of any kind.
(d) The School of Sacred Alchemy reserves the right to transfer, assign, novate or sub-contract the benefit of the whole or part of any of its rights or obligations under these terms and conditions or any related contract to any third party. You may not assign your rights under these terms and conditions.
(e) If any portion of these terms and conditions is held by any competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, the validity or enforceability of the other sections of these terms and conditions shall not be affected.
(f) No delay or failure by The School of Sacred Alchemy to exercise any powers, rights or remedies under these terms and conditions will operate as a waiver of them nor will any single or partial exercise of any such powers, rights or remedies preclude any other or further exercise of them. Any waiver to be effective must be in writing and signed by an authorised representative of The School of Sacred Alchemy.
(g) You agree that in so far as permitted by law, any claim or cause of action, which you may make which arises because of your use of The School of Sacred Alchemy will be made (in such a way that it is filed to the appropriate courts of jurisdiction as set out in these terms and conditions) within one year of any claim or cause of action arising.
Privacy Policy
1. Data Protection and Privacy
(a) The personal data that you provide (“the Data”) to us is collected for the purpose of:
(i) Processing your application and payment
(ii) Contacting you in reference to your application and in particular for the purpose of querying or confirming any of the details of your application or updating you as to the progress of your application.
(b) We do not disclose any Data to any third parties, other than:
(i) Streamline Merchant Services Ltd in the event that you have chosen to pay by credit or debit card.
(ii)Any of our professional advisors where necessary; and/ or
(iii)If required by law and / or for legal reasons.
(c) We will not use the Data for any other purpose than that indicated in this statement.
(d) If any of your details change or are incorrect, or if you wish to enquire what Data we are holding on you, please notify us immediately by e-mailing on: alexia@alexiaelliott.co.uk
If you wish us to amend or erase any part of the Data relating to you, we will do so, subject to compliance with any statutory requirements and subject to our requirement to maintain records of evidence for legal reasons.
(e) In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and other supporting regulations for the time being force, we have implemented security policies, rules and technical measures to protect the Data from unauthorised access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorised modification and unlawful destruction or accidental loss.
(f) You agree not to use students contact details inappropriately e.g. for ‘spamming’/irrelevant marketing.
